• Announcing the Azure Identity 2.0 client library and plugin packages for JavaScript (Will) - Very nice update for the SDK that will be used with popular tools.

• General Availability of Azure Functions OpenAPI Extension (Justin Yoo) - What!? one year already and GA is on top of it. Wonderful.

• Is it time to start creating C# Azure Functions in isolated mode? (Mark Heath) - Nice post about the different options today and in the future.

• What is Cloud-Native? Is It Hype or The Future of Software Development? (Thorben Janssen) - My 2 cents, it's so much more than a heap. Excellent post that cover all the angles.

Programming

• Implicit Usings in .NET 6 (Scott Hanselman) - Ok yes, it's a cool feature to get started... BUT it's the first best practice you learn in VB (yes I remember Scott) do not use implicit... So fun, but that's it.

• 5 Reasons Why You Should use a DevTool (Michelle Pruit) - Yes, indeed and it is worth spending money on them to not be limited or blocked because you are using the free version or something.

• 7 unique software collaboration features in GitHub Discussions (Evi Liu) - I started using GitHub discussion while streaming and loved it. I was curious to learn different scenarios where there is also a benefit.

• Announcing ASP.NET Core in .NET 6 (Daniel Roth) - I've not been coding for a little while now, first thing on my to-do is to upgrade to.NET 6 my projects.

• [Cake v2.0.0 RC 1 released](Pascal Berger) (https://cakebuild.net/blog/2021/11/cake-v2.0.0-rc0001-released) - A great new version, and important notification of retirement. I should do a tour of my flows/ pipeline to avoid bad surprises.

• I made Squid Game with JavaScript (Shuvo) - I love it! Great post that shows us all the code used in this cool demo. There is also a short video to see the final game.

• Publishing Events from CRUD or Commands? (Derek Comartin) - Nice post/video about event-driven architecture.

• Should Controllers Reference Repositories or Services (Steve) - Very interesting dive into the layers of an application. There are reasons for different architectures.

• Shrink your WSL2 Virtual Disks and Docker Images and Reclaim Disk Space (Scott Hanselman) - Wonderful tips from Scott. To get back that pure performance of a clean dev environment.

Miscellaneous

• After Microsoft Ignite, keep the learning momentum going (Jeff Sandquist) - Very happy to see this news being public.

• How to get Windows 11 (John Cable) - It's out now and honestly, it is great! If you didn't get the automatic upgrade maybe it's because you don't meet the requirement. Following the steps, it could be a simple checkbox to check-in your current version.

• Introduction to GitHub Actions for .Net Developers (Dave Murray) - I'm not sure why but I always felt called by automation. Maybe because it's the ultimate proactivity of any task.GitHub Action is one of those extremely powerful tools that are worth your attention.

• Separate the Metadata Noise from the Implementation in Azure Functions (Adam Storr) - This post shares an interesting technic to not get flood by all the metadata required but still managed to be OpenApi compatible.

• 
  Amanda Silver on What’s Coming for Developers - Episode 151  - This is the summary of a podcast episode. It looks like gold! Already download it and it's next on my playlist.

• How to Calculate Azure Blob Container Size (Mark Heath) - Nice little code snippet.

• Top 6 tips for configuring a new Microsoft Azure environment ( Sonia Cuff) - This is stupid simple as they say and it will make a big difference further down the road. They are no reason to not do it.

Programming

• Looking inside ConfigurationManager in .NET 6: Exploring .NET Core 6 - Part 1 (Andrew Lock) - Such a nice integration, cleaner and more efficient.

• Dapr v1.4 is now available (Dapr project maintainers) - New updates on this loved library. This post also shares get-started resources.

• Schedule Your Tasks Like A Pro in Blazor Applications (Alan Sangeeth) - I love Syncfusion controls and each time is always hard. Nice post.

• [How To Desktop in 2022](Sam Basu) (https://www.telerik.com/blogs/how-to-desktop-2022?utm_source=readingnotes) - Woooo, I didn't realize there were so many options! I think this winter I may start a project with MAUI.

• Join Us for Our Next Docker Community All-Hands! (William Quiviger) - Nice nice... Always interesting.

• Scheduled tasks with the Cron binding in Dapr (Mark Heath) - Interesting Idea. Scheduled tasks are so common as requirements, it's nice to have simple ways to implement them.

• The Magic Behind the Scenes of Docker Desktop (Ben De St Paer-Gotch) - That moment when you understand the magic... Great post that makes us appreciate it even more.

Miscellaneous

• Expanded Feature Availability for Power BI Free License Users (Coming Soon) (Ikechukwu Edeagu) - For those who already try, or use PowerBI you know how nice this news is. For the others... Give it a try it's that nice.

• Azure Cost Management and Billing updates – August 2021 | Azure blog and updates (Michael Flanakin) - Pretty nice updates this month to better see the info from inside the portal or outside with new downloadable options, and Power Bi.

• Deconstructing Azure PowerShell APIs with Fiddler (Developer Support) - I love seeing those behind the scenes, and this one explains how we can do it ourselves.

Programming

• How WebAssembly Could Streamline Cloud Native Computing (Mary Branscombe) - Interesting post. I didn't play a lot of work kubernetes yet, so I will say the idea seems brilliant.

• My Ultimate PowerShell prompt with Oh My Posh and the Windows Terminal (Scott Hanselman) - This is the perfect post to get started. You have everything to build a pretty decent customized prompt and from there you just tweak it for your preferences... Don't be scare everything is very well documented.

• Boost your productivity with Productivity Power Tools Extensions in Visual Studio 2022! (Leslie Richardson) - This next VisualStudio is looking so promising....very excited

Podcast

• How to Earn More Keynote Speaking Opportunities From Your Podcast (Feed Your Brand) - Interesting discussion on this episode. We could also summarize it by saying just be good to your host.

• SPI 502: All Things Live Video (the Best Way to Connect to Your Audience) with Luria Petrucci (The Smart Passive Income Online Business and Blogging Podcast) - That's a hot topic: live! Yep, it is indeed different from recorded content, so what do we need to do to be better at it? Very nice episode.

• Chocolatey Software Blog | Announcing the Chocolatey for Business QDE Azure Environment (Chocolatey Team) - Really cool to see awesome tools like this one now available in the marketplace and with what looks like a very interesting offer for businesses.

• Play with Proxy in Azure Function App (Kevin Li) - A very interesting post about the proxies contained in Azure Functions... Such an interesting tool.

Programming

• How to Use GitHub Codespaces With Your docfx Project (Sean Killeen) - Excellent post that shows how to set up and configure our project so anybody can have a functional dev environment in one click.

• How to Handle Global Exception Handler with C# Web API (Charris Herrera) - Perfect post to get started with exception management in our projects. And there are even C# code snippets.

• The Three Pillars of WebAssembly (Connor Hicks) - A nice short post that describes the essentials of WASM.

Podcast

• DevSecOps or SecDevOps with Wabbi's Brittany Greenfield (Hanselminutes with Scott Hanselman) - DevSecOps vs. SecDevOps vs. DevOpsSec... A lovely episode, I read or hear those buzzwords often very happy to better understand what they mean.

• SPI 500: Session 500! A Mystery Host Flips the Script! (The Smart Passive Income Online Business and Blogging Podcast) - I have been listening to this podcast for a while and I really liked learning more about Pat and how all this started.

• Take Control of Your Life and Business with Christy Wright (The EntreLeadership Podcast) - Productivity equal working less. So we need to take the time to plan or structure our days. A nice episode about a hot topic.

• Productive, Happy, Focused—How Small Habits Bring Big Success (Modern Mentor) - This is gold. So many times I heard people that they fail at changing their habits because they do too much at once.

• Blog: Top 5 Things an Azure Developer Needs to Know: Kubernetes Applications ( Sophia Parafina) - Nice post that layer after layer adds configuration and tools to have a better experience with our containers.

• Git Credentials Binding for sh, bat, powershell (Harshit Chopra) - Learn the option while using Jenkins and Git, in this short post.

• Introducing DevOps-friendly EF Core Migration Bundles (Jeremy Likness) - I remember my days coding with EF, it was really good. Today it looks just amazing, maybe I need a project idea that would require EF.

Miscellaneous

• Governance Audit for Logic Apps and Tracking Manager (Subiksha Gopal) - Nice new feature of BizTalk360.

Books

• The Messy Middle: Finding Your Way Through the Hardest and Most Crucial Part of Any Bold Venture (by Scott Belsky) - Interesting book about management/ entrepreneurship. A fresh new spin or examples on things you may already know, but that new angle makes it good.

• Putting some more FUN into Azure Functions, Managed Identity & Microsoft Graph (Luise Freese) - Very nice post that gets you started with powerful tools in a very secure way. This is the perfect place to start even more if you are an occasional (aka citizen) developer.

• Azure Active Directory B2C with Blazor WebAssembly Hosted Apps (Marinko Spasojevic) - A nice tutorial to see the requirement and code snippets with B2C.

• Optimize your cloud spend with Azure (Microsoft Azure) - This post lists many tools, more detailed posts, and videos to continue our journey feeling safe in the cloud.

Programming

• Developer Best Practices - Structuring Your Repository for Static Web Apps (April Edwards) - Great post easy to understand and to learn how to be more secure.

• What is an API? (Salma) - Wonderful post that explains so well API. I definetly think that could be the best post to get started about the topic.

• Why do we need Dapr? (Mark Heath) - A very clear example that illustrates simple but frequent situations where Dapr would help us. Reference to a book also in.

Podcasts

• #TracyPodTips: Why You Should Nod And Not Comment When Recording A Guest Interview (Feed Your Brand) - That's an excellent pro tips!

• Shannon Doherty on A Platform to Influence Happiness (What's Essential hosted by Greg McKeown) - A fun and interesting episode where a life-hack content cretor shares her reflection about how to find what will works and different hacks of course.

• 264: FOSS, Code Tours, & .NET MAUI Web with Ooui (Merge Conflict) - Tons of news in many different topics... Nice show, as usual, looking forward to learn more once both of them use more MAUI in their projects.

• Comparing Azure Static Web Apps vs Azure WebApps vs Azure Blob Storage Static Sites (April Edwards) - Excellent post that lists all the features of the latest flavor and compares it to the previous one. Tons of references to get started.

Programming

• 9 Vital Reasons to Use Docker With ASP.NET (Arjun S.) - Nice post that lists, at a high level, the reasons why Docker should be worth your time to learn.

• Blazor and Cancelling Asynchronous Calls With CancellationTokenSource (Khalid Abuhakmeh) - Nice post that clarifies some details. And the code is available.

• Install WSL with a single command now available in Windows 10 version 2004 and higher (Craig Loewen) - This is very interesting and will certainly ease the install process. I mean it's hard to beat a single command of only a few characters.

• Stringly Typed vs Strongly Typed (Scott Hanselman) - I love it! That's totally the questions I will ask myself next time I use magic strings.

Books

Making Work Visible: Exposing Time Theft to Optimize Work & flow

This book helps define and explains how to really do and use tools like Kanban. It's not a story like in The Phoenix Project. There is a lot in this book and it is worth taking your time to read it.

• Tips and Tricks and Best Practices for Hybrid Meetings with Microsoft Teams and more (Scott Hanselman) - I love that post. We learned so much in the last months. Now that all have experienced the remote, let's keep that in mind and build best practices on top of it.

• Azure Cost Management and Billing updates – July 2021 (Michael Flanakin) - Many updates are introduced in this post, and there are also videos if you prefer.

• Bring Your Own Storage in Azure Web App (Kevin Li) - Interesting post that explains how the details about how to do it. I wish there were more details about some good scenarios of when to use that.

• PowerShell: Download script or file from GitHub (Thomas Maurer) - That cool! I wish it was as simple as the bash curl, but it's a start.

• ASP.NET Core updates in .NET 6 Preview 6 (Daniel Roth) - Nice post that explains the new features, how to get started, and also how to migrate.

• Blazor Debugging Improvements in Rider 2021.2 (Rachel Appel) - That's super cool debugging wasm...

• Welcome to the Community Toolkit! (Michael Hawker) - A new name, more friends so much news for this group.

Miscellaneous

• Should you attend yet another meeting? (Luise Freese) - Think about it... We all do it. Nice and funny diagram.
