• MySQL and PostgreSQL… in Azure! (Sarah Dutkiewicz) - This short post shares information about our different SQL options in Azure.

• Public preview: Update management center in Azure - If you are using VMs you need to look at this management tool.

Programming

• 4 Ways to Optimize Your Workflows with Docker Extensions (Felipe Cruz) - Nice! There are so many great extensions that can simplify our lives. I'm downloading two of those right now.

• GitHub Pages now uses Actions by default (Chris Patterson, Yoann Chaud) - That's excellent news! I have a few GitHub pages and Jekyll too. Look like fun little projects are coming up.

• Heap Sort in C# (Code Maze) - It was nice to refresh my memory about this sort of algorithm. Remembering the details and performance; nice post.

• Prompting Developers to Install Recommended Azure Tools (John Kilmister) - I started to do this to make it easier when working on that project from a different machine and to ease the onboarding experience. It is simple and it makes a difference.

Podcast

• Measuring DevSecOps with Victoria Almazova (.NET Rocks!) - DevSecOps, what's that? Security, yes, but to what limit, so many great questions are discussed in this nice episode.

• Photographing Home with Mylo Fowler (Wild Ideas Worth Living) - This post is a great example that there are so many completely different journeys to reach your destination. Follow yours and enjoy it as much as you can.

• How to deploy a Local Docker Container to Azure Container Apps (Vincent Nwonah) - An excellent tutorial to get started with Azure Container App.
• Ultimate Guide to Deploying Azure App Service WebJobs Using Azure DevOps (Wael Kdouh) - Wow! This post has so many little time-saver tips (aka gotchas). Great content.

Programming

• Git-Flow, GitHub-Flow, Gitlab-Flow and Trunk Based Development explained (Steven Giesel) - This is a nice post to see different alternatives for your Git pattern
• Keys to Effective Regression Test Development (Amy Reichert) - This post shares a lot of info about test planning and structure. A nice read to get inspired and learn more on the topic.

• Rust for Beginners with Nell Shamrell-Harrington (Hanselminutes with Scott Hanselman) - I'm studently craving to learn Rust thanks to Scott and Nell in this episode Rust for Beginners
• 315: A Proper Podcast (Merge Conflict) - Fun episode about Frank's and James' personal life.
• How to have a hard conversation (Modern Mentor) - Those moments are hard and I believe we can all benefice from a few tips to prepare ourselves.
• 0267 - Serge Tremblay - Microsoft Loop (Visual Studio Talk Show) - (In French) Microsoft Loop?! If you have the same reaction as me when reading this title, then this episode is for you. A nice episode where three friends talk about new technology.
• Steve Sanderson: The future of Blazor and WebAssembly - Episode 202 (Azure DevOps Podcast) - A really interesting episode about Blazor...

• Integrated Terminal in Visual Studio: New SSH integration for Linux targeting (Sinem Akinci) - An interesting new feature from Visual Studio.

• Modernize with Azure Migrate (Shiva Shastri) - Inspire, the Microsoft event starts today looking forward to the update in this world to ease the migration and best practices.

• PowerToys 0.60 Arrives with Windows 11 Features - If you never tried Power Toys before now is your cue. So helpful!

• Should I write a new JavaScript framework? (Salma Alam-Naylor) - For the JavaScript developer that may have that idea, here is a website to help you to start on the good foot.

Podcasts

• EP 011 | 2+ Million Subs While Living Off the Grid with My Self Reliance (Matti Haapoja Podcast) - When two of the YouTuber you like meet in a podcast to talk about trends and how you can follow them or not. It was delightful.

• How to overcome common workplace fears (Modern Mentor) - As usual great advice in a concise episode.

• How To Create An Inviting Podcast Intro That Hooks Listeners? (Feed Your Brand) - So true, and I would say that most of those advices also applies to videos.

• SPI 594: How to Heal Burnout with Valerie Hamaker (The Smart Passive Income Online Business and Blogging Podcast) - With so many people around the globe feeling tired and disconnected from themself, it's great to hear that there are tools and people to talk too. Don't wait.

• The future of supply chain with Ox's CEO Charu Thomas (Hanselminutes with Scott Hanselman) - This is inspiring. In my previous life, I did work in the inventory management world, and I was kinda surprised things didn't change much. But I like where it's going.

• Making production diagnostics easier with Source Link (Mark Downie) - This post shares a pretty neat trick to make investigation (debugging) easier.

• How to build & publish NuGet packages with Azure Pipelines (James Croft) - All the steps are clearly explained in this tutorial for us to be ready.

• Using the Microsoft Docker Extension for Visual Studio Code (David Giard) - This post is a quick tour of the Docker extension. A very simple and powerful one.

• Deploying Applications with Azure Static Web Apps (Lee Stott) - Azure static web app is such a great tool to know. This post will get you started on a fantastic journey.

• Using Azure Service Bus in the wild (Paul Michaels) - This excellent post introduces the Service Bus as a crucial piece when working in a bigger system.

Programming

• Do I need Kubernetes? | Cloud Native Computing Foundation (Dave Blakey) - A nice little tour of kubernetes.

• Improved doc management personalization - Visual Studio Blog (microsoft.com) - This post list a few new features and customization, like a bigger dirty file notification.

• The VS Code Server (Grace Taylor) - I personally heard about it for the first time Friday on Clarkio live stream. This project is a fantastic idea! To get access, fill out the short form at the end of the post.

• Writing .NET Application Services for Kubernetes (Mike Hadlow) - I never used Kubernetes, but always found it interesting. This post is a gold mine of advice and best practices about how to plan your multi-container app.

• DevOps Release Management Best Practices (Stephen Watts ) - Nice post that shares a lot of great ideas and practices.

• Understanding Have I Been Pwned's Use of SHA-1 and k-Anonymity (Troy Hunt) - A very interesting post that explains some security limitations and the reason behind some technological choices.

• Azure Container Hosting Demystified - 2022 Edition (Sam Cogan) - Great post that lists all Azure services that use containers, with their pros and cons.

• Building Messaging Endpoints in Azure: Container Apps (Jimmy Bogard) - This excellent tutorial shows all the steps from code to deployment.

Programming

• The Best C# .NET Web Application Tech Stack: Choosing The Front End (Michael Shpilt) - Nice post that describes all C# frontends with their pros and cons.

• ApiController Attribute in ASP.NET Core Web API (Code Maze) - This post contained many best practices and detailed explanations to get a great API and make sure the user experience is the best possible.

• Continuous Integration Vs. Continuous Delivery: Know the Differences & Draw a Line (Hiren Dhaduk) - This post is very interesting as it describes both parts of the flow, and lists the benefices and challenges.

• Incremental ASP.NET Migration Tooling Preview 2 (Mike Rousos) - The second preview already! Things are looking good...

• Understanding your middleware pipeline in .NET 6 with the Middleware Analysis package (Andrew Lock) - This post introduces a nice package to have better visibility into our code. Nice.

• New Resources to Get Started with .NET MAUI - .NET Blog (Matt Soucoup) - Are you planning to learn something new this summer? I suggest you .NET MAUI, to build an application that can go everywhere. This post shares tons of references to get you started.

• Why Microsoft Measures Employee Thriving, Not Engagement (Dawn Klinghoffer, Elizabeth McCune) - Interesting article.

• Performance Improvements in .NET MAUI (Jonathan Peppers) - Extremely detailed post that shows the performance of .NET MAUI between platforms, and performing some specific tasks.

• Copy a work item type using Azure DevOps API's (Art Garcia) - A nice piece of code to copy a workitem using PowerShell.

• Introducing Achievements: recognizing the many stages of a developer’s coding journey (Bailey Brooks) - I think this is a really cool idea. Looking forward to seeing some achievements popping up on profiles.

• Introduction to Regular Expressions in C# (Code Maze) - Regex is an extremely powerful tool to have, easy to get started hard to master. This is the perfect post to get started.

• Single Element Loaders: The Spinner (Temani Afif ) - A nice post that explains the pattern behind spinner animation. Easier than you may think. This is the first of a series.

• Visual Studio Code May 2022 (null) - Fine-tuned constantly, improved I always appreciate those update posts.

Podcast

• 31. Improving your CI/CD pipeline & how everything boils down to software - with Sarah Lean (Betatalks the podcast) - Interesting discussion with Sara about her journey as a tech woman (and a damn start one ;) ), CI/CD pipeline, and ... whiskey!
• Indexing Video using KlipTok with Jeff Fritz (.NET Rocks!) - Great episode with Jeff (aka csharpfritz) about his really interesting project KlipTok that he is been live coding on Twitch.
• EP 003 | Going Full Time YouTube at 40 with DAN BECKER (Matti Haapoja Podcast) - I didn't know those two knew each other! Very interesting chit-chat from two YouTubers in very different nice.

• Care for Yourself First (Chris Pietschmann) - So simple but seems so hard...right? It's worth it let's try harder.

• 14 Containerization Use Cases: Hit a Home Run with Containers (Hiren Dhaduk) - Nice list of real-life story and situation where docker shines and empower.

• Adding a CLA Bot to Your GitHub Repository (Calvin) - This seems simple to do... I assumed adding a bot in GitHub was more complicated than that. Nice post.

• Keep your experiments separate (Jessica Joy Kerr) - This post shares good practices when adding features to our app... Because we never know the full impact when we start.

• Static code analysis with NDepend (Andreas Nesheim) - I'm always curious about those tools. I think they could also be useful when connected to your CICD and automation processes.

• When WebAssembly Replaces Docker (B. Cameron Gain) - Interesting post that explains why WASM is indeed more interesting than docker in some scenarios.

• 5 great books for the summer (Bill Gates) - There are a few books that I put on my to-read list. There you go.

• Azure Logic Apps team is interested in your feedback – BizTalk Business Rules Engine Survey (Sandro Pereira) - Integration technologies are so useful, help the teams to plan their priorities.

• Introducing Project Volterra (Mark Downie) - This little beast really caught my attention during Build. I'm impatient to learn more about it.

• GitHub Copilot AI Programming Assistant to Hit GA This Summer (Rabia Noureen) - The demos are really impressive, and the comments are all positive. I'll try it for sure!

• Introducing the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform | Azure Blog and Updates | Microsoft Azure (Rohan Kumar) - This post is an excellent summary of the data and AI news from Microsoft Build.
