• Serverless Architecture Patterns and Best Practices (Faith Oyama) - Nice overview of different patterns in the serverless world. Here AWS lamda are used but it's true for all serverless situation.

• Azure Static Web App - Authentication using pre-configured providers (Bart Wullems) - A quick intro to authentication and authorization for SWA, agnostics of any programmatic languages.

Programming

• FluentUI.Blazor v4.3 (Denis Voituron) - I recently migrate one of my website to use FlunentUI Blazor, and the experience is amazing. It looks great and required less code from me.

• WebAssembly: 4 Predictions for 2024 (Matt Butcher) - Nice post that review 2023 predictions and sets 2024 ones explaining why it could happened.

• Creating an ASP.NET Core Web App with Docker Support and GitHub Packages (Bjoern Meyer) - A nice quick but details tutorial with a step by step approach.

Podcasts

• Dockerfiles have versions? (DevOps and Docker Talk: Cloud Native Interviews and Tooling) - Interesting episode about a little thing that could have a big impact in our CICD and I'm sure is overlooked.

• Playing the YouTube game with Nick Chapsas (Coding After Work Podcast) - Great interview with a successful technical content creator that do things "the good way".

• Teammateship with NBA champion Shane Battier (A Bit of Optimism) - reat conversation about team work, what it really means and what to achieve it.

• How to Focus When the World Feels on Fire (Modern Mentor) - Quick thoughts and tips to stay focus. Sometimes it's harder and other times and having a fews tricks his always a good idea.

Miscellaneous

• Twitter Ruined Your Link Previews: Here's How Cloudinary Can Help (Salma Alam-Naylor) - Wow! This looks like an amazing tool.I need to look dipper into this.

• A Job at Microsoft: Getting and Passing the Interview (Rod Trent ) - Interesting post that will certainly be very helpful for many.

• API Architectural Styles: REST vs. SOAP vs. GraphQL vs. gRPC | Postman Blog (Bruno Pedro) - Selecting the best architecture for our needs that a scary decision. This post explains the different architecture and shares a real-life story and tools to help decide.

• Creating a VS Code editor extension (Tim Heuer) - The journey of a dev building an extension for Visual Studio Code.A very interesting post.

Open Source

• Build an Open Source Project: Behind the Scenes (Alexey Yuzhakov) - This post shares a story of a real-life open source project. It's about putting in the effort and doing the extra work to make our project more useful and accessible.

Low Code

• Power Apps Dynamic Forms - Generate Forms From A Questions List (Matthew Devaney) - A tutorial that shows how to build a very useful form using code. But once you build it you can reuse it at many places.

• Power Apps Code Review Tool (Mehdi Slaoui Andaloussi) - That's a really cool tool! I need to test it now!

Podcast

• Podman In Action: Desktop, Machine, and more (DevOps and Docker Talk: Cloud Native Interviews and Tooling) - The perfect episode to get started with Podman. Very interesting.

• Building Apps using OpenAI with Mark Miller (.NET Rocks!) - So much energy in this episode and great topics.

• Blazor WebAssembly for Headless CMS on Azure Static Web Apps (Justin Yoo ) - Woo! Amazing idea, you get the comfort of WordPress for writing and the lightweight of a static webapp.

• Create and connect to an Azure SQL DB in 6 easy steps (Davide Mauri) - Learn how to build an excellent Azure CLI script in this post. Sort and useful.

• Deploying Blazor WebAssembly applications to Azure Static Web Apps (Damir Arh) - Nice overview of the static webapp double with a tutorial to build a CI-CD using GitHub Action.

Programming

• The Magic of Docker Desktop is Now Available on Linux (Chris McLellan) - Wonderful, I believe that offering the same experience to your users independently of the platform is a sign of maturity.

• Configuring the Diagnostics Port for dotnet monitor (Mark Downie) - This post shares news about this monitoring tool that is as cross-plaforn as .NET is.

• Docker Extensions: Discover, Build & Integrate New Tools into Docker Desktop (Amy Bass) - This is really good. Now the entire community can add functionalities to the environment.

• DockerCon 2022: Community-powered, Developer-obsessed (Scott Johnston) - I watch the keynote and it was very interesting. Looking forward to see those demos

• How to run Kubernetes clusters locally on Windows - Simple Talk (Boemo Mmopelwa) - This tutorial goes over the functionalities of Kind. One of the two tools available to help us use Kubernetes locally. It looks simple and fun!

• Migrating from GitHub Pages to Azure Static Web Apps | I CAN MAKE THIS WORK (John Reilly) - This is a good tutorial that leverages the GitHub deployment to Azure.

• Tip 352 - How to trigger an Azure Function from Azure Cosmos DB | Azure Tips and Tricks - This is a clear tutorial about how to use an Azure function trigger connected to Azure Cosmo DB. Simple but very powerful.

Programming

• Minimal APIs, Blazor Improvements, and Tools Updates in ASP.NET Core 6 (Antonio Liccardi) - So many goodies in the last few days.

• Azure Static Web Apps, Blazor, Authentication and Visual Studio 2022 (Scott Kuhl) - There is a little bit more work than I would like but there is also a lot to interact with and monitor locally. Thanks to this clear tutorial we have all the steps to reproduce.

• Comparison of Dependency Injection in .NET (Nickolas Fisher) - A very complete tutorial, with all the required code even the GitHub reference. The perfect example to get started.

• VS Code Gets New Side Panel in v1.64 Update (David Ramel) - Nice! I like this new menu functionality.

• 291: GitHub Actions All The Things (Merge Conflict) - Sometimes building a CI-CD feels too cumbersome, but it's probably worth it. In this episode Frank and James share and they found their balance.
• Greg on The Power Of The Graceful No (What's Essential) - It's so hard some time to say this simple word... But it is an important, nice episode.
• Shaun Walker on Blazor and Oqtane - Episode 179 (Azure DevOps Podcast) - Nice discussion with the creator of DotNetNuke and more recently Oqtane, about .Net and Blazor for today's solution.
• 564: Make Your Reading More Meaningful, with Sönke Ahrens (Coaching for Leaders) - As far as I can remember, I always struggled with taking "good" notes. Interesting topic, a few good tips, and tricks.
• Game Console 2.0: A Photographic History with Evan Amos (Hanselminutes with Scott Hanselman) - Really interesting interview about... yes, photography. Scott is chatting with the photographer of those amazing images of the game consoles.

• What makes a good Git commit? (Al Tenhundfeld) - Great post. It's always good to read opinions from others about collaborating as it helps to better understand others, be in their shoes, and then become a better team player.

• Azure Service Bus: Queues vs Topics (Davide Bellone) - Most people know about queues but topics is not as well known. This is a great post to understand why, how, and what you need.

• Azure Service Bus and C# - an introduction (Davide Bellone) - This is a nice and detailed post perfect to get started with the service Bus and queues.

• Building and auto-deploying an ASP.NET Core application - Part 7 - Improving your build and release processes ( Imar Spaanjaars) - This series is gold for anyone interested to learn more about best practices when deploying. It covers many different scenarios and got into the details.

• Creating Azure Functions, Custom Connectors and using them inside of Power apps (Charles Sterling) - Quick tutorial that connects two amazing tools.

• Leveling Up Static Web Apps With the CLI (Aaron Powell) - A pretty cool demo running locally. The explanation of the tasks fike is awesome.

Programming

• Best Practices for Microservices (dilshan ukwattage) - 7 best practices to help us building great microservices solutions.

• Conditional compilation for ignoring method calls with the ConditionalAttribute (Andrew Lock) - An interesting post about commands that we don't see that often, or at least that I don't see often.

• How to use GitHub actions and Contentful webhooks to show your latest blog posts on your GitHub profile README (Salma Alam-Naylor) - Wow, This is pretty cool! I didn't think we could do this kind of thing with our page...but I guess we can do all we want; love it.

• Extending HttpClient Testing With Templating (Adam Storr) - A nice quick post that shares unit test pattern

• Exploring .NET interactive notebooks with VS Code (Andrew Lock) - Nice practical utilization of that tech and I love the historic vibe into it.

• Git – What to do when things go wrong (pcmichaels) - Wonderful post...We all been there when we screwed up then not sure how to fix things. This post is packed with helpful commands and explanations on how to use them and the expected result

Miscellaneous

• Diagram as Code with Diagrams (Sam Cogan) - Interesting tool, I use drawio most of the time because it doesn't require any installation, but I am curious to see it.

• Speaking CTO (Gregor Hohpe) - Nive post with really good and simple best practices.

• The New Azure Logo - Microsoft Azure Icon (Abhijit Jana) - This is my favorite so far.
• Using Auth0 with Static Web Apps (Aaron Powell) - Ah wonderful! I noticed this new feature in Azure static web App this week. This post details how it works and gives a great example.

• VS Code shortcuts that you must know! (Mac and Windows) (Raynaldo Sutisna) - Learning new shortcuts is always nice.
• 4 Tips on How to Refactor Code in Visual Studio Code (Alex Omeyer) - Nice! I didn't know about that cool extension.
• 5 Ways to Improve the Performance of C# Code for Free (Sasha Mathews) - Interesting deep dive in the performance of our code and the why it goes fast or could go faster.
• Add a README to Your NuGet Package (Christopher Gill) - Now I understand! I noticed that, earlier this week, and thought: Wow, this is wonderful, why they are not all doing that! Now it all makes sense.
• How To Customize Azure DevOps Projects Process Templates? (Abhijit Jana) - Azure DevOps is a very very powerful tool. This post and video will show you how to start customizing it.
• What Do You Mean By Automated Tests And Continuous Integration? (Charles L Flatt) - Great answer.

Podcasts

• Bonus: Understanding Digital Body Language (Modern Mentor) - That we wanted or not, we need to get better with those new tools: the webcam, the microphone. We need to understand how to use them correctly and how to understand what the person on the other hand is really sharing. Great episode.
• Social Robots with De'Aira Bryant (Hanselminutes with Scott Hanselman) - Okay I crack at... If only they knew! A very interesting episode about... yes robots!
• Write Great APIs (Coding Blocks) - What's an API, what's a good API, why it's good, or why it's bad... Great episode that may me think... I really need to get back to my code and update a few things.

• Azure SDK: Packaging, tools, and repository structure | Azure SDKs (Mitch Denny) - A very interesting post, it's important to find the best way and for that, we need to start by asking the good questions.

• Integration Testing ASP.NET Core Applications: Best Practices (Steve Gordon) - This summary chapter gives us a really good preview of this very interesting Pluralsight course.

• Introducing C# 9: Extending Partial Methods (Anthony Giretti) - It's been a while since a used them, but it nice to see it will be much easier...because I remember how it was.

• The DevOps Journey (Chris Ayers) - Interesting post about DevOps in our reality.

• TikTok, Reels, and Shorts (UGH! Not another algorithm to learn?!) (Your Thriving Side Hustle) - When I saw the title I was TikTok? Not for me... I'm still not convinced, but now it's definitely not that clear. Could some serious things work in that format?
• SPI 435: 7 Terrible Traps Entrepreneurs Fall Into (And How to Get Out of Them) (The Smart Passive Income Online Business and Blogging Podcast) - Interesting real-life stories. We ear more often about success, but things don't go always well.
• Cybersecurity for Executives in the Age of Cloud with Teri Radichel (Hanselminutes with Scott Hanselman) - A interesting conversation about security. Who's accountable? What does it mean?
• #385: Rediscovering the Joy of Work with Bruce Daisley (The EntreLeadership Podcast) - I'm lucky because I really like what I do for a living. You could too. An interesting episode about emotion, joy, and work.
• Linus Tech Tips Returns for Episode 100! (That Creative Life) - I was really happy when I saw that Linus was back on the show. I really like to dynamic between those two, it feels honest and true.

I was interested to read this book to get some inspiration when it's time to talk to people in an event. But this book brought me way more then that. I really appreciated the clear example and the variety. After reading this book you won't be a master, but you now have options to start a conversation.

• Which Database should I use in my Azure Serverless App? (Mark Heath) - Nice overview of the type of data storage in Azure.

Miscellaneous

• 7 principles for modern tech leaders (William Peachey) - Nice post about the evolution of roles in our field of expertise and what could/ should be a a leader roles.

• Do I need to code in my free time to be a good developer? (Maxim Chechenev) - Interesting point of view about a trend. I personally think the answer is not yes or no... But its depends or it required more details.
