• Learn How To Do Java On Azure (Nikos Vaggalis) - Great news for Java people free learning content and a video channel too.

• Connecting an Azure Logic App to a local Web API (Developer Support) - A short post that explains/ references a cool demo.

• How to choose the right Azure Event Hubs .NET client library type for your application | Azure SDK Blog (Squire) - Very complete post about EventHub. The perfect place to refresh or get started with this tech.

Programming

• Improvements to the new Razor editor in Visual Studio (Daniel Roth) - Looking forward to trying it.

• Integration Tests for ASP.NET Core Web APIs using MSTest (Changhui Xu) - Interesting post that bridges some gaps missing in the doc and explains how to do integration testing.

Miscellaneous

• Hack a TV into a Teams and Zoom Computer with EpocCam and Miracast (Scott Hanselman) - A nice post that proposed a variety of ideas to change/improve your experience f online meetings.

• Using Azure Key Vault to manage your secrets (Chris Noring) - Wow, this is a very complete post that explains with Azure Key vault is great and it also explains how to build a simple n\Node.js app to read a value from it.

Programming

• Blazor - Getting Started with Localization (Cody Merritt Anhorn) - Nice quick tutorial to get started.

• Generate a GitHub Actions workflow with Visual Studio or the dotnet CLI (Damian Brady) - This is extremely interesting for all .Net developers. We now have a super-easy way to create a workflow from everywhere using the CLI.

• How to fix Blazor WASM base path problems (Kristoffer Strube) - Interesting post that suggests a complete solution for a common issue. Could it be added to the framework and become native?

• Using Environments for Approval Workflows With GitHub Actions (Aaron Powell) - Pretty cool novelty looking forward to testing it.

Miscellaneous

• Looking back on Software Development in 2020 and forward to 2021 (Scott Hanselman) - A very interesting post and excellent follow up on the podcast topic. So after all it looks like 2020 was good at something.

• An Introduction to Azure Media Services - The Wit and Ramblings of David Giard (David Giard) - Media services is a gem that not enough people know. Nice little introduction post.

• Azure Storage - Zip multiple files using Azure Functions (Josef Ottosson) - Great project. I like the sharing of the thoughts or questions encounter during that build. We are all eventually meet them too.

• How To Calculate Pricing In Azure (Mahesh Chand) - Nice quick refresh or quick start. Cost is such an important topic.

• Integration tests using Azure Storage emulator and .NET Core in Azure DevOps (Dominique St-Amand) - A really interesting tutorial. I'm definitely bookmarking that one for later.

• Introducing Azure Health Bot—an evolution of Microsoft Healthcare Bot with new functionality (Lili Cheng) - Very inspiring to see the evolution of what bots are able to do.

Programming

• Advanced TypeScript Tips & Tricks - DEV Community 👩‍💻👨‍💻 (Dino Kacavenda) - Very very interesting tips. As a new TypeScript coder, I found this really reassuring to know there is a way.

• Save the Date for DockerCon Live 2021! - Docker Blog (Matt Carter) - If you are a container user, or just thinking about it... Reserve the date.

• How to Use Query Strings in Blazor WebAssembly (Marinko Spasojevic) - Nice tutorial. Very detailed.

Miscellaneous

• Productive (And Realistic) Ways To Optimize Your Space For Remote Work (Genevieve Michaels) - Nice post that gives a lot of suggestions to make that space at home more comfortable and pleasing.

• Scott Hanselman's 2021 Ultimate Developer and Power Users Tool List for Windows (Scott Hanselman) - I'm a long-time big fan of that list. On many occasions, I discover tools that since then, are now always on my devices.

• Using Azure Slots and GitHub for Personal Projects (Shawn Wildermuth) - A nice post that explains how to use the Azure deployment slots. It is really easy and useful.

• Automating Azure Site Recovery VMs with ARM and some magic (Dominique St-Amand) - The perfect place to get started with site and disaster recovery. This post is the best I read for a long time on this topic, great job.

• Azure Communication Services – Building an experimental messaging solution (Abhijit Jana) - Cool demo. It's the first time I read about communication services.

Programming

• Design patterns in C# - The Proxy Pattern (Carmel Eve) - I really like those little posts about code patterns. There is everything to learn in a consumable bit size.

• How To Install An ASP.NET Core In .NET 5 App On Ubuntu 20.04 (David Grace) - There it is. Simple and it works.

• Should I use self-contained or framework-dependent publishing in Docker images? (Andrew Lock) - Interesting question and answer.

Miscellaneous

• Using multiple APIs in Blazor with Azure AD authentication (Damien Bod) - Nice post with all the code you need to get started.

• Remote Debugging for Azure Functions Can Be a Breeze (Simon Timms) - A nice post that gives a little bit of history and architecture information, before showing how to use the product named Ozcode for debugging.

• Best 5 Tools for Node.js Monitoring (Olivia Diaz) - As a new Node.js developer I am pretty pleased to see all these tools. All bookmarked.

• How to MongoDB in C# - Part 1 (Rami Honig) - A really great tutorial with tons of code and examples to learn how to use MongoDB.

• New from Universe 2020: Dark mode, GitHub Sponsors for companies, and more (Shanku Niyogi) - Don't miss the keynote (it's available on demand), it's 15 mins highlighting some pretty cool new features... Or this post.

• You should be customizing your PowerShell Prompt with PSReadLine (Scott Hanselman) - Wanna customized your prompt? This post contains references to all previous tweaking posts and goes into detail about PsReadline.

Every Tool's a Hammer: Life Is What You Make It 

(Adam Savage) 

- I really liked this book. In fact, As I was reading the first chapter I was "earing" Adam's voice. So instead of creating that voice in my head I bought the audiobook and let Adam himself tells me his story. This is the best book I listen to this year. It was inspiring and empowering.

• Organizing My Reaction GIFs Using Node.js, Sharp, And Angular 11.0.2 (Ben Nadel) - Definitely a cool project. The chance of failure should never block you to try, learn, or have fun.

• Docker V2 Github Action is Now GA - Docker Blog (Ben De St Paer-Gotch) - A really nice update on those actions.Nice

• Getting Started With NuGet 5.8 (Jon Douglas) - A very interesting post about the new features included in NuGet, and since it is the first one supporting .Net 5, some advice for a better experience.

• Understand The .NET 5 Runtime Environment (Khalid Abuhakmeh) - A helpful post that describes the different environment and their characteristics.

• Upgrading Blazor Blogs (Version 1.0 to Version 2.0) (null) - Nice little tutorial. It's upgrade time.

• What is a Developer Game Jam? (Coding Blocks) - Interesting episode about Game Jam... I barely know that universe. Yes, I said universe because it is a completely different world or better another dimension. There are tons of events and participants but you may never hear of that. It's very interesting.

• A Blast from the Past and Life's Interesting Journey — Back After 8 Years (The Smart Passive Income Online Business and Blogging Podcast) - Inspiring episode about how communities can be built and be interesting.

• .Net 5 is PERFECT for DevOps (Davide Benvegnù) - I said it many times but allow me to say it one more time... It a great time to be a .Net developer.

• Azure Functions via GitHub Actions with No Publish Profile (Justin Yoo) - Nice post. We can do so much with those GitHub actions it's so cool.

• Spectre.Console lets you make beautiful console apps with .NET Core (Scott Hanselman) - Looks totally cool and could definitely be useful for some API I have... Could I just add params for pretty results?? Hmmm.

• Understanding the difference between null and undefined in Azure Cosmos DB | Azure Cosmos DB Blog (Tim Sander) - Super interesting post that shares a nice tip about how to work with null and undefined values in your NoSQL queries.

• Preventing Developer Burnout in the Age of Rapid Software Delivery (James Brotsos) - This post is definitely interesting as it talks about a real health problem. at the same time there that mix with DevOps and security thing... Could be just me, interesting nevertheless.

• 6 ways to narrow types in TypeScript (Carl Rippon) - This is a nice post that teaches how to avoid a few good exceptions.

• What's new in .NET Productivity (Mika Dumont) - In post offers a nice summary of the new feature available in the latest version of Roslyn.

• Your dotnet outdated is outdated! Update and help keep your .NET projects up to date (Scott Hanselman) - Wonderful! Easy to update and to use. Sold!

• 622 - Why Vulnerability Is a Misunderstood Professional Superpower (Modern Mentor) - First time on this podcast, but definitely not the last. Great show great topic.
• The Shorts -- Backyard Adventures (The Dirtbag Diaries) - One thing keep coming back to my head again and again as I was listening... Yeah, so true! I love it. Let's do small adventure.
• 227: Databases! (Merge Conflict) - So many great questions, a tons of answers, hypotheses, and laughs. Great show guys!
• Growing the next generation of technologists with CodeCrew's Meka Egwuekwe (Hanselminutes with Scott Hanselman) - Very interesting questions. I really like discussion from a different point of view; for me.

What a great book. I didn't know John Wooden before, but I am very impressed and inspired by both coach Wooden and the author. There is so much in this book and worth reading it again... But first, let's get prepare :)

• Cake 1.0 with Mattias Karlsson (.NET Rocks!) - I'm a fan of Cake and of the team working on this project for a long time. Great show with our glorious Carl and Richard.

• 496: How to Generate Quick Wins, with Andy Kaufman (Coaching for Leaders) - Great conversation about how Agile should be view, and a few tips about how you could start this turn in your entourage.

• #65: James Montemagno - From Printer Software to Xamarin (The Solo Coder Podcast) - Great Interview of James. I learn a lot about in this episode. Nice show.

• #399: The Practice of Shipping Creative Work with Seth Godin (The EntreLeadership Podcast) - I knew who Seth Godin was, and read one of his books recently (Tribes). And honestly, I feel like I will read another one soon. Great mind, I like how clear is the example... Great episode.

• Managing multiple SSH keys for authentication to GitHub on Windows 10 (Dominique St-Amand) - Nice tips to work securely with 2 ssh key.

• Node.js REST API Tutorial: Express.js and TypeScript (Marcos Henrique da Silva) - As I'm learning TypeScript/ Node.js for a project and was looking for how to structure and organized my project this post provide so much.

• Should Your Enterprise Pick Angular, React or Blazor? (Jon Hilton) - Of course, it depends, but I like how this post lets you think about many different aspects before making your decision.

• Best practice when naming Durable Functions in C# (Laurent Bugnion) - Nice update. So many developers will thank you later...

• How to waste your career, one comfortable year at a time (Apoorva Govind) - In the end, what is most important is that you are happy. I like to continuously learn new things, but I also learn that for some people, this is not healthy. And it is totally fine.

• Creating a .NET Core Global Tool (John Smith) - Cool project. It gave me ideas of little things I would like to have available...
• How to Docker with .NET: Getting Started (Dave Brock) - A truly beginner tutorial. If you know about Docker but never did really play with it, here is your chance. First post of a trilogy that definitely worth our time.
• Keeping your WSL Linux instances up to date automatically within Windows 10 (Scott Hanselman) - This is sooo simple! Wonderful.
• Let's use NUKE to Quickly Deploy an App to Azure via Zip Deployment - Dangl.Blog(); (Georg Dangl) - Interesting build/ automation framework. Definitely worth giving it a try.

Suggestion of the week

• Learn Node.js with this series of short videos for beginners (Microsoft) - An amazing series of tiny videos. I started myself and already learned so much! Perfect bite-size to watch in a break, or to find THE topic/ answer you are looking for.

Great book. I wasn't sure first but someone recommended it and since, I like her first book and thought why not! I was not disappointed. I like this journey through interviews. Each person (yes real person, not characters), is great; full of emotions, victory, fails... like us, well me at least.

• Bringing the browser developer tools to Visual Studio Code (Microsoft Edge Team) - Cool...I need to try that.

• Render diagrams on the fly in your Blazor apps (Jon Hilton) - A cool and simple way to add graphics inside your App, wonderful!

• WebAssembly Could Be the Key for Cloud Native Extensibility (Joab Jackson) - Oh, interesting topics, I need to check that podcast.

• Microsoft & the Next Level of Transformation with Corey Sanders (Screaming in the Cloud) - What's new why it's interesting, why should we care, and so much more. Nice show.
• Morning Brew - Newsletters ARE NOT Dead! (That Creative Life) - A great conversation between to young and really smart creator. It's interesting to confirm you are not alone asking yourself those questions.
• Are YouTube Keyword Research Tools Worth It? (Your Thriving Side Hustle) - Do you spend time entering all that metadata? Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one doing it, and the second haft of the time I'm sure I'm doing it wrong. Nice episode.
• Cloud & DevOps with Bart Castle (CloudSkills.fm) - I love those stories how someone became who they are. THe path to picked, the choices they made with the reason why.
• Special Episode 25: From art school to Microsoft Research (Software Engineering Unlocked) - Wonderful, I knew her study. carreer path couldn't be strait. Like I mentioned many times the best stories are the one with "detours". Love it, looking forward for the next episode.

• Cycling Through Changes with Laura King (Wild Ideas Worth Living) - I'm a man and my "baby" is an adult now. Yet, I found that episode very interesting. Even though a lot of friends shared with me a few "challenges" that pregnancy brings... And didn't think about the training ones...

• 482: How to Sell Your Vision, with Michael Hyatt (Coaching for Leaders) - nice episode that shares a few points to guide us when it's time to build/ present our vision.

• #167 – The Most Sensible Debate on Hustle Culture and Work-Life Balance with Natalie Nagele and DHH (The Indie Hackers Podcast) - A very interesting discussion about the "entrepreneur" mentality. Are there too many differences between the guess (cultural)? It's definitely good to ear all their points... But be aware that's mostly a two-hour long episode.

• The Open Source Ecosystem, .NET Foundation, and Microsoft with Sebastien Lambla (.NET Rocks!) - A fantastic episode. A hot topic very strong opinion but done in with class!

• Managing remotely with Asana Engineering Manager Kate Reading (Hanselminutes with Scott Hanselman) - Interesting conversation. It's not a not topic, but they're a lot of unprepared managers that were forced into this situation.

• New Windows Virtual Desktop capabilities now generally available | Azure blog and updates | Microsoft Azure (Kam VedBrat) - Wow, that very nice news.

• How to Improve Time Management with Angela Proffitt (Influencer Entrepreneurs with Jenny Melrose) - A few great tips to improve our efficiency at managing time. It's always good to have new ideas and ear how others are doing.
